This article is devoted to the socio-psychological factors of formation of independent thinking, creativity in students, analyzes the peculiarities of the formation of creative thinking in students through interactive teaching methods that stimulate independent thinking, independent behavior and behavioral, cognitive approaches to learning. The article also covers the process of educating creative person and its psychological mechanisms, components, the concept of reduction of creativity to the intellect, the role of new generation textbooks in the education of a creative person.
