Dr. Park's research interests include self-efficacy, integrated science, mathematics, and technology, Earth system science education, and teacher education. GEORGE O'BRIEN, an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Florida International University (FIU), also has taught integrated science to grades 7–9 students for the past nine years, as part of the FIU-Miami Dade County Public Schools "Partnership in Academic Communities" (PAC) program. Dr. O'Brien's research interests involve the implementation of constructivist-based, integrated mathematics, science, and technology; and environmental instruction and learning. MARIO ERASO is a graduate student in mathematics education at Florida International University. His experience in civil engineering aids him in designing activities that integrate math and science. Currently, Mr. Eraso teaches a course for twelfth graders in PAC, the FIU program that enables middle and high school students to complete their science and mathematics requirements. EDWIN McCLINTOCK is a professor of mathematics education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Florida International University. His research interests involve the integration of technology and mathematics education and the integration of mathematics and science. Dr. McClintock has been working intensively with underserved students for the past 10 years, using a variety of programs that address issues related to this population.
