E-Learning Application Effectiveness in Higher Education. General Research Based on SWOT Analysis

In this article, we will take a look at the effectiveness of online education during the COVID-19 pandemic in higher education. The feature is the analysis of the knowledge assessment system through the SWOT method used in management consulting for situational analysis and determining an action plan. The relevance is due to the lack of an adequate assessment of the distance learning system in the field of higher education on behalf of students and teachers. Thus, the study attempts to expand the current knowledge of the state of the problem of distance learning. The method is the collection of statistical data for subsequent assessment using surveys of students and teachers of MGUPP through the SWOT analysis. The results revealed the following aspects - the aspects of advantages: feasibility, information security and learning process analysis, and among the disadvantages: lack of individual approach and lack of language practical trainings. The practical significance lies in obtaining an adequate assessment of the work of distance learning, for its subsequent improvement and the development of more relevant curricula of a higher educational institution.
