Continuity of teacher education in Uzbekistan
Аннотация
One of the most significant challenges in the transformation of the post-Soviet space after the collapse of the USSR is the reform of the teacher training system. The activities of teachers play a crucial role in shaping the social values of new generations of citizens in the sovereign Republic of Uzbekistan and are essential for the economic, social, and cultural development of the country. Since gaining independence in 1991, Uzbekistan has undertaken a phased reform of its system of pedagogical education, drawing on the best traditions of national pedagogy, ethnic tolerance, Soviet-era experience, and modern international practices. This chapter reflects the consistent implementation of these reforms. Significant attention has been paid to the transformation of the pedagogical education system over the past 30 years, making Uzbekistan one of the most successful examples of educational reform in Central Asia.
