Аннотация

An inset feed microstrip patch antenna for the ultrawide band is designed, simulated, fabricated, and analyzed in this paper. In order to accommodate sub-6 GHz 5G applications, the antenna is intended to operate at 5.5 GHz. The substrate used for the antenna fabrication and design is Rogers's 5880, which has a thickness of 1.57 mm and a permittivity of 2.2. With an inset feed of 50 Ω line, a straightforward rectangular patch serves as the antenna model. The antenna size is 49 x 49 mm2 overall. The simulation results show that the antenna exhibits a return loss of -15 dB at 1.6 GHz, and -21.6 dB at 5.8 GHz, and a gain of 1.0 dBi at 1.6GHz and 5.7 dBi at 5.5 GHz. measured results are in relatively good agreement which show that the antenna provides a gain of 1.2 dBi at 1.6 and 5.4dbi at 5.5 GHz and return loss of -20 dB at 1.6 GHz, and -28 dB at 5.5 GHz, A parametric analysis is also carried out to demonstrate the impacts of various parameters on the antenna's performance, offering useful recommendations for the design and operation of the antenna. The suggested antenna shows promise and can be an excellent choice for 5G applications operating at sub-6 GHz.
