Lantana camara, a widely distributed tropical shrub, is known for its rich phytochemical content and traditional medicinal uses. This study investigates the morpho-anatomical characteristics and evaluates the insecticidal potential of various parts of Lantana camara, particularly its leaves and stems.Detailed anatomical analysis revealed adaptive features such as glandular trichomes and secretory cells associated with secondary metabolite production.Insecticidal assays were conducted using crude extracts against common agricultural pests, and the results showed significant larvicidal and adulticidal activity, especially in ethanolic leaf extracts. The findings confirm that Lantana camara exhibits structural and biochemical traits contributing to its defense mechanisms, offering a promising basis for eco friendly botanical pesticides. The dual focus on plant anatomy and insecticidal efficacy provides insights into its potential role in sustainable pest management strategies.
