This article explores the symbolic representation of psychological alienation in the short stories of contemporary Uzbek writer Nazar Eshonqul. The study focuses on how inner conflict, loneliness, and existential anxiety are conveyed through narrative structure, symbolism, and metaphor. By analyzing selected stories, the article reveals the author’s distinctive narrative strategy, which combines modernist aesthetics with national literary traditions. The research highlights Eshonqul’s contribution to modern Uzbek prose through his deep psychological insight and innovative artistic techniques.
