Peri-implant infections and bone loss are significant complications affecting the long-term success of dental implants. This study focuses on preventive strategies using laser therapy and antibacterial approaches to minimize bacterial colonization and enhance osseointegration. Current research highlights the efficacy of low-level lasers, photodynamic therapy, and antimicrobial coatings in reducing microbial load around implants, preventing peri-implantitis, and promoting bone preservation [1, 2]. Combining these strategies with proper oral hygiene and individualized patient care can significantly improve implant longevity and clinical outcomes. Future perspectives emphasize integrating laser technology with novel antibacterial biomaterials to optimize prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases [3, 4].
