Аннотация

Echinococcosis constitutes a significant public health burden and a prevalent parasitic disease affecting a substantial pediatric population in endemic regions globally. Contemporary management strategies for pediatric echinococcosis emphasize the implementation of personalized protocols based on cyst characteristics, anatomical localization, and individual patient factors. This review analyzes the efficacy of pharmacological therapy using albendazole, which demonstrates a success rate of up to 72% in cases involving small, uncomplicated hepatic cysts. Modern surgical modalities are examined, including traditional open surgery, laparoscopic interventions, and minimally invasive percutaneous techniques under ultrasound guidance. Particular emphasis is placed on a multimodal approach combining perioperative chemotherapy with surgical intervention, a strategy proven to minimize recurrence risks and improve long-term outcomes. Recurrence rates vary between 4% and 22%, contingent upon the therapeutic modality and the radicality of the procedure. With timely diagnosis and appropriate management, the prognosis remains favorable, underscoring the necessity of an integrated treatment approach and prolonged follow-up.
