Аннотация

Oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) represent a heterogeneous group of chronic pathological conditions of the oral mucosa associated with an increased risk of malignant transformation. The coexistence of dentofacial anomalies requiring orthodontic correction and OPMDs presents a clinical challenge due to the risk of chronic mechanical trauma, inflammation, and possible disease exacerbation. This article analyzes the clinical features of orthodontic management in patients with OPMDs, evaluates the impact of different orthodontic appliances on oral mucosal status, and proposes evidence-based clinical recommendations aimed at minimizing complications and preventing recurrence. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary collaboration, individualized treatment planning, and long-term follow-up.
