Аннотация
In recent years, the rapid development of digital technologies has significantly influenced foreign language education. Among various digital tools, podcasts and audiobooks have gained increasing attention as effective resources for enhancing listening and speaking competence. This article explores the role of podcasts and audiobooks in developing learners’ oral communication skills, particularly in the context of English language learning. The study highlights how regular exposure to authentic audio materials helps learners improve pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary acquisition, and listening comprehension. Podcasts provide flexible, topic-based, and up-to-date content, while audiobooks offer structured and extended language input through narratives. The article also discusses how these tools support learner autonomy, motivation, and confidence in speaking. Furthermore, practical strategies for integrating podcasts and audiobooks into classroom instruction and independent learning are examined. The findings suggest that when used systematically, podcasts and audiobooks can create a rich linguistic environment that enhances both receptive and productive skills.
