Аннотация
This paper examines the critical role of student motivation as a catalyst and necessary condition for the successful transition from a traditional, teacher-centered educational model to an authentic, student-centered learning (SCL) environment. While structural changes in classroom practice are widely discussed, this analysis argues that without a concurrent and deliberate focus on cultivating intrinsic motivation, such shifts are often superficial and unsustainable. The paper synthesizes current literature to demonstrate that motivation is not merely a beneficial byproduct of SCL but its foundational driver.
