Аннотация

This article examines the ecological efficiency of using local plant species in the design of urban parks in Uzbekistan, particularly in regions with limited water resources. The aim of the research is to analyze the water-saving capacity, climate adaptability, and environmental impact of representatives of the local flora in urban ecological conditions. A comparative-analytical method was applied during the study, comparing local plant species with introduced plants. Scientific sources and practical experiences observed in urban parks located in various natural and climatic regions of Uzbekistan served as the basis for the analysis. The results of the study showed that local plant species are characterized by low water demand under arid conditions, high resistance to elevated temperatures, and long-term ecological stability. In addition, they play an important role in improving the urban microclimate, reducing soil erosion, and preserving biodiversity. According to the obtained results, the priority use of local plant species in the design and reconstruction of urban parks in Uzbekistan can be considered an effective approach for ensuring ecological sustainability and improving the quality of the urban environment.
