THE ROLE OF MOTIVATION IN LANGUAGE LEARNING (BASED ON NON-PHILOLOGICAL EDUCATIONAL FIELDS)
Аннотация
This article examines the role of motivation in the process of foreign language learning among students of non-philological educational fields. Motivation is considered one of the key psychological factors influencing the effectiveness and success of language acquisition. The study analyzes different types of motivation, including intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and their impact on students’ interest, engagement, and academic performance in language learning. Particular attention is given to the challenges faced by non-philological students, who often study a foreign language as a supplementary subject rather than their major specialization. The article also highlights effective pedagogical strategies that teachers can use to increase learners’ motivation, such as the use of interactive methods, authentic materials, and communicative tasks. The findings show that a high level of motivation significantly contributes to improving language skills, increasing learners’ confidence, and enhancing overall learning outcomes.
