Seismic data collected during geotechnical dynamic penetration tests at a factory area in Wuhan, China

We present a seismic dataset collected at the ground surface during the dynamic penetration test (DPT). The DPTs were conducted in a factory area in Wuhan, China, in July 2024 as an auxiliary procedure to geotechnical drilling in three boreholes, to investigate the mechanical properties of soils and rocks in the subsurface. Seismic signals were recorded continuously throughout the entire test process. The raw three-component seismic data, along with MATLAB codes for removing drill-rig noise and constructing virtual-source gathers (VSGs) from passively recorded DPT seismic data, are provided in our dataset repository. An additional dataset of active source seismic data acquired at the same site using the same acquisition setup is also included in the repository.
