Аннотация
This paper explores the use of hidden humor and subtle irony in classical Arabic prose. While much research in Arabic literature has focused on poetry and religious texts, the nuanced presence of wit and irony in prose has been largely neglected. Through the analysis of selected works from medieval adab literature, this study demonstrates how humor and irony function to convey social critique, ethical reflection, and rhetorical elegance. By examining classical texts alongside contemporary Uzbek scholarship on Arabic grammar and literature, this study situates these literary devices within a broader historical and linguistic framework.
