In recent years, rheumatoid arthritis has become a global problem, affecting 0.5-2% of the population over the age of 50 (up to 6% among women).The annual increase in new cases is 0.02%. The disease is also considered, a social issue, leading to disability among patients in young and middle-aged groups. The disease is based on joint structure disorders ankylosis, deformities, and contractures. The degree of their development is closely related to early initiation of treatment. This review article presents modern perspectives on the clinical features and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
