THE ROLE OF MINIMALLY INVASIVE DENTISTRY IN THERAPEUTIC DENTAL PRACTICE
Аннотация
Minimally invasive dentistry (MID) represents a paradigm shift in contemporary dental therapeutics, emphasizing conservation of healthy dental tissue, prevention of disease progression, and optimization of long-term oral health outcomes. This study explores the clinical implementation of MID principles in restorative andendodontic procedures, evaluating their effectiveness in reducing iatrogenic damage while maintaining functional and esthetic outcomes. Data were collected from patient records, clinical observations, and follow-up evaluations over a 12-month period, focusing on lesion detection, conservative cavity preparation, adhesive restorative techniques, and outcomes in terms of pulp vitality, restoration longevity, and patient satisfaction. The findings indicate that MID not only preserves tooth structure but also minimizes post-operative complications, supports long-term oral health, and improves patient compliance, highlighting its essential role in modern therapeutic dental practice. Minimally invasive dentistry (MID) has revolutionized therapeutic dental practice by emphasizing tissue preservation, early lesion management, and patient-centered preventive strategies. The modern dental approach prioritizes the conservation of healthy tooth structure, utilization of adhesive materials, and selective caries removal, aiming to reduce the incidence of iatrogenic damage and enhance long-term oral functionality. This study examines the practical implementation of MID principles, focusing on restorative, endodontic, and preventive procedures in patients with various carious conditions. The research methodology integrates comprehensive clinical assessments, digital imaging, magnification-enhanced procedures, and follow-up evaluations to monitor pulp vitality, restoration integrity, and patient satisfaction. Findings indicatethat MID enhances structural preservation, minimizes post-procedural complications, and supports favorable esthetic and functional outcomes, thereby demonstrating its critical role in contemporary therapeutic dentistry.
