Аннотация

This scientific article is devoted to the study of historical changes in the system of noun declension in the Russian language as one of the most important components of the morphological structure of the Slavic language system. The paper examines the main stages in the development of the declension category from the Proto-Slavic and Old Russian periods to the modern state of the Russian language. Special attention is paid to the evolution of the case system, the transformation of declension types, changes in morphological markers, as well as the processes of unification and analogical leveling of noun forms. The study analyzes the reasons for the disappearance of ancient declension types, the influence of phonetic processes on the morphological structure of words, and the interaction of internal and external factors in language development. The research is based on comparative-historical, descriptive, and structural-semantic methods of analysis. The article emphasizes that changes in the declension system reflect the general patterns of development of the Russian language and demonstrate the close interrelation of phonetic, grammatical, and lexical processes. The obtained results make it possible to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of the historical development of Russian grammar and the peculiarities of the formation of the modern noun system.
