Аннотация
The magnetic field necessary for elimination of the resistance mmtmum in praseodymium containing 0.045% of the magnetoactive impurity iron is determined experimentally. The field value is 93,000 Oe. A new phenomenon has been discovered-a dependence of the resistance minimum temperature on external magnetic field. It has been established that the minimum temperature increases sharply with the increase in external magnetic field from zero to 40,000 Oe (from 3.8 to 4.4°K), tending to saturation upon further increase. A possible cause for the difference in magnetic field needed to eliminate the resistance minimum in chromium and praseodymium is discussed.
