Behavior of ErFeO3 magnetic structure at low temperatures
Аннотация
Spin reorientation in ErFeO3 at low temperatures is studied. It is shown that this process occurs in two stages. In the first stage continuous reorientation of Er3+ spins to the c axis occurs, while in the second these spins are ordered in the configuration Cz, causing reorientation of Fe3+ spins in the plane bc in accordance with the rule sinθ∼μR. Expressions are obtained for Fe57 nuclear magnetic resonance branching and their mean value: Δf=Asin2θ and fav=fo−Bsin2θ, which agree well with experiment. Using experimental data on the value of sinθ the dependence of erbium ion magnetic moment μR on temperature is determined, which near TN has the form characteristic of critical phenomena μR∼(TN2−T)β with exponent β = 0.50 ±0.07.
