EPR spectra of KY(MoO4)2-KYb(MoO4)2 crystals with a low symmetry
Аннотация
The EPR spectra of isostructural rhombic KY(MoO4)2−KYb (MoO4)2 single crystals were measured at frequencies about 10 and 30 GHz over the 1.7−50°K temperature range. The spectrum for specimens containing diluted magnetic ions fits the description in terms of the Hamiltonian H=βHg^S+SA^J+JP^J with the tensor ĝ of rhombically symmetric hyperfine-structure and quadrupole interaction. The spectrum for crystals containing concentrated magnetic ions is, essentially, determined by the anisotropic dipoledipole interaction. In parallel fields there appears a spectral band which peaks at a nonzero field intensity. The form of the resonant absorption band has been found to change at liquid-helium temperatures, depending on the shf generator power, which seems to be attributable to the particular characteristics of the relaxation processes.
