Аннотация

The anomalous penetration of longitudinal ultrasound (70 and 150 MHz) frequency in pure single-crystal gallium is studied experimentally in a weak magnetic field H⊥k at low temperature. A retarded ultrasound signal (relative to the main one) is detected. An investigation of new magnetoacoustic effects permitted the determination of a temperature dependence of the electron collision frequency with thermal phonons νe,ph(T) ∼ T3 for gallium. It is detected that anomalous oscillations in the propagation velocity of ultrasound and signal pulses being propagated by electron transfer in a metal exist even for a field almost parallel to k.
