Аннотация

Localized long-wave crystal vibrations near a screw dislocation due to anharmonic effects in the presence of static elastic deformations possessing screw symmetry are discussed. The spectrum of these vibrations is calculated. The problem of electron localization at the screw dislocation as a result of deformational interaction is considered. It is shown that when the motion of the current carrier becomes one-dimensional (along the dislocation), the electron-lattice coupling brings about the polaron effect. The shape of the large-radius polaron at the dislocation is described and its energy is estimated.
