Tilted vortices in superconductors (review)
Аннотация
The distinctive features of the mixed state in the surface layer of a superconductor and in layered superconducting compounds are analyzed. The main factor determining these properties is the lattice of “tilted” vortices. The type and orientation of such vortex lattices are considered as are also pinning and the critical currents of the surface layer. The three-dimensional vortex structure which arises in layered superconductors in an oblique field has properties which are determined by the Josephson and correlation interactions between adjacent layers. The paper reviews experimental and theoretical results concerning resistive and nonstationary effects on the surface layer: vortex motion and attendant radiation, pinning, and high-frequency properties. Calculations are made of the resistivity due to the motion of tilted vortices in layered semiconductors and in thin films.
