We have investigated theoretically, for the first time, a type of first order spin reorientation phase transition between the phase Φ⊥1, in which the antiferromagnetism vector l is directed along a two-fold axis and the magnetizations of the sublattices lie in the (111) planes, and the phase Φ⊥2, in which the magnetization of the sublattices is slightly inclined out of the (111) planes, in a rhombohedral antiferromagnet with weak ferromagnetism. This type of phase transition apparently takes place in FeBO3. The evolution of the domain structure at such a phase transition is studied and, for the first time, the 30° phase boundary between Φ⊥1 and Φ⊥2 is studied.
