Аннотация
Criteria for the appearance of discontinuous plasticity in, and discontinuous penetration of vortices into, hard type-II superconductors are derived. The plastic deformations of hard superconductors in the following cases are considered: a single hard filamentary type-II superconductor in a magnetic field and a composite conductor in the absence of a magnetic field and in the presence of a uniform background magnetic field.
