Elastic moduli of inert gas crystals

The elastic properties of Ar and Kr crystals are studied within the framework of the wave function nodal surfaces model. The influence of the anharmonicity of the vibrations on the elastic moduli is analyzed. The temperature dependence of the elastic moduli of Kr is calculated. A comparison is made of the results obtained here with experimental data and also with the results of calculations for a static lattice.
