An attempt is made to detect the quantum diffusion of paradeuterium in parahydrogen. Quantum diffusion can occur in this system only through a tunneling mass transfer of molecules. The investigation of the time dependence of the heat capacity of the p-D2 solution (0.94%) in p-H2 over a period of 290 h (T = 1.7 K) did not reveal any quantum diffusion. This means that the characteristic time of configurational relaxation is τ > 1·104 h. It is concluded that quantum diffusion in hydrogen is realized by a tunnel transfer of the angular momentum of molecules. The temperature dependence of the heat capacity of the solution is investigated in the temperature range between 0.5 and 6 K.
