Аннотация

The heat capacity of dilute solid solutions of l4Ne2 and l5N2 with impurity concentrations n = 0.125 and 0.25 mol. % in krypton is measured in the temperature range 0.5–6 K. The impurity components of the solid solutions are compared with those predicted by the Devonshire–Manz–Mirsky (DMM) model which assumes an instantaneous spatial adjustment of surrounding atoms to a rotating impurity molecule. It is shown that the above model provides a satisfactory explanation for the experimental data for T < 2 K. The energy spectrum of the rotational motion of impurity molecules is proposed, providing an agreement between the experimental and theoretical data.
