Effect of a magnetic field on the amplitude dependence of internal friction and shear modulus of yttrium ceramics in the temperature range 4.2–300 K
Аннотация
The amplitude dependence of internal friction and shear modulus are studied in an yttrium ceramic of various phase compositions, densities, and grain size in the temperature interval 4.2–300 K in a magnetic field H = 235 Oe and for H = 0. Microplasticity peaks and shear modulus defects are observed in the temperature regions of structural and phase instability of the yttrium ceramic. The effect of the magnetic field strength and of residual elastic stress fields after preliminary excitation of high-amplitude torsional vibrations in the sample (σ = 22 MPa) on the variation of microplasticity and shear modulus of the ceramic are considered for the first time. Possible reasons behind the microplasticity of yttrium ceramics are discussed.
