Role of quasiparticle structure in<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:math>decays of the heaviest nuclei

The one-quasiparticle structures of nuclei in the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay chains of ${}^{287}$114 and ${}^{293}$116 are studied with a modified two-center shell model. The two-quasiparticle states are revealed in the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay chain of even-even nuclei ${}^{286,288}$114. The calculated values of ${Q}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$ are compared with available experimental data. The termination of the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay chains by spontaneous fission is analyzed.
