Family Selection of High-yield Rosin Seed Orchards of Pinus massoniana
Аннотация
Using the progeny test plantation of open-pollinated families in high-yield rosin seed orchards of Pinus massoniana as material, the growth traits( height,DBH,stem volume, and live branch number) of 4-year-old family and the genetic variation rule of insect resistance were analyzed, and the heritability of all traits was estimated, and correlations were analyzed. Results showed that there were extremely significant differences for traits of height,DBH,stem volume, and live branch number, except for the insect resistance with significant differences among families. Growth traits were under strong genetic control, while the insect resistance was the middle genetic control. There were high correlation among growth traits of all families, but no correlation among rosin-producing capacity, insect resistance and the growth traits. By using the best linear prediction single-trait( volume) and multiple traits combined( insect resistance and families rosin-producing capacity) to estimate breeding value, two superior families of Pinus massoniana were selected as breeding and commercial materials in southeast of Guangxi.
