Effect of Different Fertilizer Treatments on the Growth of Eucalyptus

Growth of two Eucalyptus clones,DH32-29 and GL9,were studied after application of different types and rates of fertilizer.Results showed that diameter at breast height(DBH) of DH32-29 had no significant differences between high and low levels of applied fertilizer.In contrast,DBH of GL9 and also tree height and single tree volume of DH32-29 differed significantly among treatments,with the fertilizers that provided higher levels of available nutrients giving greater growth.Tree height and single tree volume of GL9 showed a trend of faster growth in earlier stage but slower growth potential in later stages.The growth of DH32-29 was greater than that of GL9.
