The role of fugitive grassland fires in increasing the fire resistance of coniferous forests

The historical experience in the solution of forest-fire problems in Russia is considered. Information about the first official documents, having the direct relation to the protection of state forests and regulating the spread of forest and agricultural fires, decreasing the fire hazard and warning the emergence of severe fires, is given.
