The article discusses the issue of increasing energy consumption and energy efficiency of wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes. The main factor influencing the likelihood of a sensor network malfunction is the limited power consumption resource of the node. The method of calculating the energy consumption of nodes and the service life of their supply elements is given. The oscillogram of the current consumption depending on the stage of processing the request at the sensor node also shows the cases of current consumption when using a neural network in the sensor node. The energy consumption of the sensor node has been considered separately using conventional and neural networks.
