Influence of the parameters of the roll module on the width of the contact area

The article is devoted to the experimental study of the influence of the parameters of the roll module on the width of the contact area. Regression and empirical models of the width of the contact area on the load intensity, radius and speed of the rolls were developed. It was revealed that, with other parameters, at an increase in the load intensity, the width of the contact area increases and approaches a certain value, which for a certain radius of the rolls does not change with an increase in the speed of the rolls, while for a certain speed of the rolls at an increase in the radius of the rolls, it increases. It was found that at large values of the load intensity and the radius of the rolls, the dependence of the width of the contact area on the speed of the rolls is characterized by a linear function.
