Аннотация
The phenomenon of populism is relevant to the political life of the so-called post-Soviet countries-sovereign states that became independent after the collapse of the former USSR in 1991. As part of this research, we believe that it is advisable to pay special attention to populism in Russia and Belarus. The Russian Federation was and remains the most powerful and influential country in the post-Soviet space. The peculiarities of its internal political development are now critically affecting the CIS countries as well. In this context, the issue of populism in the Russian Federation has become particularly relevant today.
