Teaching a foreign language in the system distance education

AbstractThe article reveals the possibilities and advantages of distance learning of a foreign language, the problems of creating a distance course and changing the role of a teacher in the distance education system are considered. Effective distance learning of a foreign language should be based on a specially designed virtual language environment, including a set of electronic educational and communication tools that allow organizing a full-fledged educational interaction between the subjects of the educational process separated by space and time.
