Menopause is one of the factors that impair the function of the endothelium of the vascular wall. In patients with coronary artery disease in this age group, with ultrasound examination of the brachial artery, there is a violation of endotheliumdependent relaxation, which is manifested by a decrease in the increase in the diameter of the brachial artery in response to reactive hyperemia or paradoxical vasoconstriction. Changes in endothelial reactivity can be considered an early manifestation of atherosclerosis.
