ABOUT SOME LINGUGOGEOGRAPHICAL PROPERTIES OF PLACE NAMES (on the example of Jizzakh region)

The article examines some lingvogeographic features of place names on the example of Jizzakh region. Based on the main function and main purpose of the geographical name, the issues of interrelation of place and name and regional features of topoformants in the structure of names are studied. At the same time, toponymic analysis of the geographical name and its components, topoformants specializing in the creation of place names and their distinguishing features were studied. The appellate and oykonims formed on the basis of the famous horses were studied with the help of concrete examples, and advanced scientific views on the field were described.
