Features of the course of congenital pneumonia in premature babies on the background of perinatal lesions of the central nervous system

Abstract. Congenital pneumonia is an urgent problem in modern neonatology and occupies one of the leading places in the structure of perinatal morbidity and mortality. To study the features of the course of congenital pneumonia in premature infants against the background of perinatal lesions of the central nervous system. 80 premature newborns were examined: 1 main group - 40 premature babies with congenital pneumonia, 2 comparison group - 40 premature babies at the 2nd stage of nursing without signs of congenital pneumonia. Clinical and instrumental (X-ray, neurosonography) and statistical research methods were carried out. In premature infants with congenital pneumonia against the background of immaturity of the brain and hypoxic-ischemic disorders, pathological changes in the structures of the brain are revealed, which determines the severity of the course of pneumonia.
