Abstract It is known that many women experience bone loss and sometimes some fractures in the postmenopausal period. Before the onset of menopause, the level of bone loss in men and women is almost the same. But after the patients enter this phase of their life, they have an almost 1.5-fold increase in the chance of spontaneous fractures in comparison with the opposite sex. This is explained by the decline in estrogen levels as a consequence of menopause [1,2,4,25]. As it maintains a balance between resorption and bone formation. This balance is maintained in the woman's body by means of this hormone, which retains the important trace elements calcium and phosphorus in the structure of bone tissue [8,9,10]. These trace elements contribute to the improvement of bone microarchitectonics. To prevent this condition, it is necessary to pay close attention to a woman in the premenopausal period [3,5,6,7,23,24].\n\n In this article, we examined the level of bone resorption in women with different body mass index, ranging from underweight to obesity grade III, to study the effect of body weight on this disease [16,19]. Having studied the relationship between osteoclast and adipocyte at the cellular level, one can understand the pathophysiology of menopausal osteoporosis against the background of excess weight and develop a new method of treatment or to prevent this ailment and determine further tactics for managing patients with menopausal osteoporosis. Basically, osteoporosis and obesity are a consequence of the metabolic syndrome, which is why their tandem is not surprising in many patients. Some authors in their scientific works note the positive dynamics of excess body weight on bone mineral density, others assert their negative side [11,12,14]. Since many data in this regard are contradictory, we decided to conduct our own analysis.
