Abstract The article covers a construction diagram and principle of operation of a drum with cylindrical and multifaceted pegs of fibrous material cleaner from fine litter. The parameters of drum and peg have been substantiated by theoretical research. Trajectories of movement of parts of a fibrous material on a flat surface of a drum peg are constructed at different drum rotation frequency and a mass of fibrous material. Based on comparative production tests, the positive results of the cleaning of fibrous material have been received, and recommendations for implementation have been developed.
