DEVELOPMENT OF ETHNOTOURISM IN THE REPUBLIC OF KARAKALPAKSTAN

The article discusses the development of ethnotourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The objects of ethnotourism, its classification, their peculiarities that attract tourists are revealed. The article includes shrines for tourists, traditional handicrafts, traditional festivals, traditions and programs, national costumes, traditional homes, national dishes, as well as sacred places associated with the forces of nature in the republic, wells, mineral and thermal waters, salt mines and other natural resources arealso discussed in their essence.Along with the problems in the development of ethnotourism in the country, a number of proposals were made to address it.
