Abstract: In PE, an excessive inflammatory state is observed, characterized by an increase in the concentration of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which can lead to disruption of the endocrine-immune relationships in the mother-fetus system and cytopathogenic effects on trophoblast cells. In pregnant women with preeclampsia, a significant increase in the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, TNF-α) at all stages of gestation and anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-10) in the III trimester was revealed in the blood plasma, which indicates a shift in cytokine regulation in preeclampsia towards Th1- mechanism.
