Review of the demographic development of Uzbekistan under the soviet union

AbstractThis article testifies to the Uzbek SSR in terms of population ranks 3rd among the union republics (after the RSFSRUSSR). The share of the Uzbek SSR in the country's population is 5.9%. According to the 1979 census, the population of the UzSSR was 15,774 thousand people, of which 4,675.9 thousand people lived in cities and 11,098.1 thousand people in rural areas. The population density is 34.4 people. per 1 km2.
