ARABIC LITERATURE OF THE MIDDLE AGES IN THE WORKS OF ACADEMICIAN I.YU.KRACHKOVSKY

The article is devoted to the analysis of the research activity of academician I.Y.Krachkovsky in translations of Arabic literature. The characteristic features of the Russian school of Arabic studies are highlighted and described. The author gives a generalized description of the work done by Academician Krachkovsky, which made a significant contribution to the development of not only Arabic studies but also Arabic philology.
