ASSESSMENT OF CHANGES IN THE ORAL CAVITY AND MUCOSAL FLOOR IN PATIENTS WITH COVID-19

Various viral agents such as herpes viruses, human papillomavirus and Coxsackie virus are a common cause of primary oral lesions, while other viruses, such as human immunodeficiency virus, infect the oral cavity due to a weak immune system. Interestingly, it has been reported that patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) may show cutaneous manifestations, including in the mouth.
