MODERNIZATION OF THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE CREATION OF THE THEORETICAL AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE INDUSTRY

This article analyzes the legislative reforms implemented in the oil and gas industry after the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After Uzbekistan gained state independence, the priority of state policy was, first of all, strengthening the economic independence of the country, the stable operation of industrial enterprises, and ensuring the well-being of the people. Undoubtedly, the oil and gas industry is one of the strategic industries that ensures the smooth operation and development of all spheres of the national economy of our country. At the present stage of market economic relations, the oil and gas industry has become one of the leading branches of the fuel industry and plays the role of a locomotive in the energy supply of the productive forces of the republic.
